侯茂林，男，1968年出生於湖南安仁。1989年本科畢業於湖南農學院，1994年碩士畢業於中國科學院瀋陽套用生態研究所，1998年博士畢業於中國科學院動物研究所，2001-2003年在日本筑波大學從事博士後研究。現任中國農業科學院植物保護研究所研究員、博士生導師、水稻害蟲創新任務負責人。

侯茂林，1989本科畢業於湖南農學院，1994年碩士畢業於中國科學院瀋陽套用生態研究所，1998年博士畢業於中國科學院動物研究所，1998-2006年任中國農業科學院生物防治研究所助理研究員、副研究員，2001-2003年在日本筑波大學從事博士後研究，2006-2009年任中國農業科學院植物保護研究所副研究員，2010年至今任中國農業科學院植物保護研究所研究員、博士生導師、水稻害蟲創新任務負責人。
研究領域
從事水稻害蟲生態學和綜合治理研究。
取得成績
主持國家自然科學基金項目、國家重點基礎研究計畫課題、歐盟援助國際合作項目、亞洲區域合作專項資金項目等，骨幹成員參加國家科技支撐計畫、農業行業科研專項、國家重點研發計畫等。在二化螟抗寒性、褐飛虱對氣候變化的適應性、矽介導的水稻抗蟲性、白背飛虱對SRBSDV的傳毒行為、以赤眼蜂為主的水稻害蟲綜合治理等方面取得重要研究進展。獲授權發明專利4項，在國內外刊物發表研究論文160餘篇（其中第一或通訊作者SCI收錄論文60餘篇），主編專著1部、參編專著1部。2011年獲農業部優秀創新團隊獎1項。
