付向東,武漢大學長江學者講座教授。聘任崗位:生物化學與分子生物學。博士生導師。1957年11月7日生,1982年畢業於武漢大學病毒學學系。1988年獲凱西保留地(凱斯西儲)大學生物化學博士學位,1992年獲哈佛大學分子生物學博士後。現任美國加州大學聖地亞哥分校細胞與分子醫學系教授、美國先進科學協會會員,RNA協會會員、白血病與淋巴癌協會委員、美國生物醫學科學RayWu協會會員。
