《機電專業英語》是根據國家教育部頒發的《中等職業學校英語教學人綱》中有關專業英語階段的要求編寫的中等職業學校專業英語教材。本教材內容大致分為若干個大的群落，即：機械製造總體介紹，機械加工設備與加工方法基礎，機器人原理和自動控制技術原理，機電一體化發展趨勢和加工原理，機械加工安全保障，柔性製造原理和方法基礎及計算機一體化製造等。《機電專業英語》內容新穎，通俗易懂，門類齊全，適應面廣，適合中等職業學校學生的實際水平。本教材共有10個單元，每單元設2篇課文。《機電專業英語》每單元後編有人量練習，圖文並茂，與課文內容緊密結合。在突出以課文為中心的閱讀教學的同時，每單元還配有“聽力”和“口語會話”及練習，並配有聽力磁帶。《機電專業英語》能使學習者通過本階段學習，在加強專業英語閱讀技能、提高閱讀能力的同時，辭彙和語法運用能力及口語會話能力也能相應提高。《機電專業英語》可供中等職業學校學生及具有同等英語水平的社會讀者使用。
