China Book International (hereinafter called CBI) is managed by General Administration of Press and Publication of The People's Republic of China(hereinafter called GAPP), and published by Archival Library of Chinese Publications (hereinafter called ALCP). ALCP (barcode Center OF Press and Publication Administration) is the exclusive library responsible for collecting , collection, managing all publication samples since when New China was founded, it is also the most complete and authoritative publication Resource Information Database.
2007年3月創刊的《CBI》雜誌是在國務院新聞辦公室和新聞出版總署的指導下，由中國版本圖書館創辦的面向國外推介和宣傳中國出版精華，向世界全面、完整地展示中國出版及中國整體形象的大型英文期刊，在為“中國圖書對外推廣計畫”服務的同時，為全行業和全社會提供對外信息交流和宣傳服務。
CBI was founded in March 2007 under the instruction of State Council Information Office and GAPP , and hosted by ALCP introducing and promoting Chinese publication essence, completely displaying China publication and China image. When CBI serves for "China Book International promotion plan”, it also provides foreign information exchange and propaganda for whole industries and society.
《CBI》雜誌是中國圖書對外推廣計畫和中國文化著作翻譯出版工程的工作刊物，這是國內第一本面向海內外公開發行的對外推介中國出版物、全面展示中國出版業整體形象的綜合性英文期刊。並在當年的北京國際圖書博覽會和法蘭克福書展上受到好評。該雜誌為大16開本，全彩印刷，設有多個重點欄目向世界宣傳、推介中國圖書。
CBI is a publication for promotion plan and Chinese cultural works translated & published project, which is the first publication offering home and abroad, comprehensive displaying the whole image of China's publishing industry in English. It was well appraised in Beijing International Book Fair and Frankfurt Book Fair. CBI is made in large 16 folio, fully color printing, with variety of columns to introduce and promote Chinese books all over the world.
CBI serves for the strategy of "going out of Chinese book’’, and undertakes the responsibility of external promotion and books publicity. It contains columns as CBI feature articles, Publishing Focus, Issued Ark, Chinese culture , famous translators, Western world, Book Promotion , Cultural exchange , cultural and educational world , New Book Introduction .
讀者對象為中國駐外領使館和文化機構、各國駐華使領館和文化機構、國外出版發行商、國外圖書館和國內外大型國際圖書博覽會。
Its readers are Chinese overseas embassies, oversea embassies in China and cultural institutions, abroad publishers, abroad libraries, large-scale international Book Fair for foreign and domestic.
