作者簡介
謝春濤，中共中央黨校黨史研究室主任、教授、博士生導師。1988年起在中共中央黨校從事中國共產黨的歷史和理論的教學研究工作。出版有《大躍進狂瀾》、《廬山風云：1959年廬山會議簡史》等專著，主編有《中國特色社會主義史》、《轉折中國：1976～1982》、《共和國五十年圖史》、《中國簡史：從孔夫子到鄧小平》（英文版）、《歷史的軌跡：中國共產黨為什麼能？》、《中國共產黨如何治理國家？》、《中國共產黨如何應對挑戰？》等書，發表文章百餘篇。2005年，被國務院授予全國先進工作者稱號。現為中國中共黨史學會常務理事、副秘書長，並被多所高校和研究機構聘為客座教授或特約研究員。
