凱莉·安德伍德凱莉·安德伍德是2005年的選秀節目美國偶像的冠軍。凱利參加美國偶像節目的時候還是一個高級學院的學生，和往屆的美國偶像冠軍不一樣，凱利演唱的歌曲大多是鄉村風格。凱利自幼在家鄉俄克拉荷馬州的教堂演唱，演唱功底深厚。2005年美國偶像開始的時候，參賽的選手總共有十萬人，最終凱利憑藉著豐富的演出經驗脫穎而出奪得桂冠。
名曲誕生
2010年3月20日，Carrie的巡演司機在一場車禍中喪生。Carrie在當晚的演唱會中把自己的單曲《Temporary Home》獻給了這位司機，結尾處Carrie唱到淚流。歌曲結束全場起立為Carrie鼓掌，向這位不幸的司機致意。
2010年4月舉行的鄉村音樂學院獎頒獎禮上，Carrie與Miranda Lambert、Brad Paisley等為頒獎禮開場，同時Carrie現場不插電弦樂伴奏演唱的《Temporary Home》贏得了全場起立鼓掌致敬。Carrie在這屆頒獎禮上成為史上首位衛冕"年度藝人"的女歌手，同時獲得至尊榮譽大獎"Triple Crown Award"，只有最佳新人、最佳歌手、年度藝人三項榮譽加身才有資格獲此獎。史上獲此殊榮的女藝人僅兩人。
