歌曲背後曲折的故事

1969年，超經典西部片「虎豹小霸王」開拍,劇組請來已經成為大師級人物的柏特拜克拉負責譜寫跟製作,寫出了這首「Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head」,並由這位B. J. Thomas主唱，令人意外的是，B.J並不是柏特拜克拉原先屬意的主唱者。

最初，拜克拉本來打算要請「歌壇笑匠」雷史蒂芬斯來演唱這首歌曲的，史蒂芬斯看了電影的毛片，也非常喜歡，但是由於當時他自己另有計畫，所以婉謝了拜克拉的好意。

不得以之下，拜克拉轉而希望請民歌界大受歡迎的鮑布迪倫來演唱。這個時候，向來被公認是拜克拉作品最佳詮釋者的黑人女歌手狄昂華韋克(美國著名歌手惠妮休斯頓表姐)，向他推薦同門「師弟」B.J。基於提拔同門的出發點，狄昂華韋克把托馬斯的「Hooked on a Feeling」拿給拜克拉和他的創作搭檔海爾戴維（Hal David）聽，建議他們考慮幫他寫歌、替他製作。拜克拉相當欣賞他的歌聲，於是跟他簽下了經紀約，並且答應，假如鮑布迪倫不想演唱「Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head」，就由他來錄製。

結果，鮑布迪倫婉拒了邀請，所以B.J.Thomas就這樣獲得了演唱這首歌曲的機會。

這是一首流傳甚廣的曲子，在蜘蛛俠、阿甘正傳、桌球天王等多部影片中出現，而立頓咖啡等商業品牌也看好其朗朗上口的輕鬆曲調，紛紛製成廣告背景樂。

另，中國女歌手王若琳也在其專輯中翻唱一個版本。
