Keep The Faith（保持信念）專輯在1992年推出，不論在歌曲內涵或音樂性上的進步都獲得樂評和歌迷的一致肯定，而且他們還甩掉以往過度誇張的搖滾飾物與卷長發，以嶄新的形象與髮型向世界宣告Bon Jovi的新精神：沒有虛偽矯飾，只有搖滾！
因為前兩年樂隊兩位核心人物都推出過個人專輯，Bon Jovi 的活動似乎減少了許多。好在1992年，樂隊成員又湊在一起錄製並推出了新專輯《Keep the Faith》，專輯標題為《Keep the Faith》展示了樂隊在另類音樂風行的90年代的不妥協態度，同時不論是音樂還是裝束，此時的 Bon Jovi 都比以前顯得更加時髦。低沉中有迷幻、粗獷中見野性正是專輯的特色，同時還帶些根源搖滾色彩。樂隊知道必須要不斷的創新才能更適應時代，他們在音樂題材上也更加嚴肅，不再像以往局限於男女情愛上，像專輯中藝術搖滾風格的講述美國土著印第安人悲慘遭遇的長近10分鐘的歌曲 “Dry County” 就是很好的例子。憑著出色的《Keep the Faith》專輯，Bon Jovi 又回到了以前輝煌的日子。

隨著New Jersey tour的結束，樂隊進入了休整期。在樂隊休息的時間裡，Jon Bon Jovi為電影Young Guns II寫了原聲大碟，並作為專輯Blaze of Glory在1990年發行；Richie Sambora也發行了個人第一張Solo專輯Stranger in This Town。在這個時候，Jon Bon Jovi解僱了他的長期經理Doc McGhee，並將樂隊置於自己管理之下。Jon Bon Jovi決定發揮更大的作用，帶有更多的責任。1991年十月樂隊前往加勒比海的聖托馬斯島，討論未來的計畫；樂隊內部的問題解決了，他們也準備復出大幹一番。
