哈羅恩 塔捷耶夫 (Haroun Tazieff)，1914年5月11出生於波蘭華沙，1998年2月2日在法國巴黎去世，是法國火山學家和地質學家 。 著名的火山噴發和熔岩流動攝影技師，也有幾本關於火山的著作

簡介

出生於波蘭華沙（當時為沙俄統治） ，他的父親是一名韃靼籍醫生，母親則是一名政治科學方面的醫生和化學家。

人物生平

他從1917年開始住在比利時首都布魯塞爾。

他曾在1938年獲得Gembloux農學學士學位，1944年獲得列日大學學士地質學學位。 他的“寫字檯行政法院”在法國起到了重大風險防範作用。

美國國家地理電影《暴力地球》改編自塔捷耶夫在1971年遠征火山西西里島的埃特納火山。1972年他曾嘗試下到活躍的剛果主義共和國的尼拉貢戈火山（當時稱為薩伊）熔岩湖中收集樣本，但並未成功。

塔捷耶夫於1998年2月2日去世於法國巴黎，死後被安葬在巴黎的德帕西公墓。

1997 他的故事被編撰進新概念第二冊 Lesson67 “Volcanoes” 中。

Volcanoes

Why does Tazieff risk his life like this?

Haroun Tazieff,the Polish scientist,

has spent his lifetime studying active volca-noes and deep caves in all parts of the world

In 1948,he went to Lake Kivu in the Congo

to observe a new volcano which he later named Kituro.

Tazieff was able to set up his camp very close to the volcano

while it was erupting violently.

Though he managed to take a number of brilliant photographs,

he could not stay near the volcano for very long.

He noticed that a river of liquid rock was coming towards him.

It threatened to surround him completely,

but Tazieff managed to escape just in time.

He waited until the volcano became quiet and he was able to return two days later.

This time,he managed to climb into the mouth of Kituro

so that he could take photographs and measure temperatures

Tazieff has often risked his life in this way.

He has been able to tell us more about active volcanoes than any man alive.
