fences也被稱為柵欄桌面，是著名的Stardock公司推出的一款軟體，由該公司的首席技術構架師Jeff Bargmann開發的，用來分類和組織桌面上的圖示一款軟體。
fences柵欄桌面可以將不同的圖示放到不同的“容器”當中，使用者還可以移動和拉伸這個“容器”。這樣將圖示分類以後，桌面再也不會看起來一團糟了。它還提供了一個有趣的功能：雙擊桌面，隱藏所有圖示；再次雙擊桌面，顯示所有圖示。

簡介
Fences™ is a program that helps you organize your desktop, and can hide your icons when they're not in use. A "Fence", a term coined by this program, is an icon group on your desktop. Fences is an add-on to your desktop, not a replacement.Your desktop by creating shaded areas which become movable and sizable containers for your icons. Double click blank spaces on your desktop and all your fences will fade out, and back.

1）對你的桌面分塊

快速提示
按住“windows鍵”然後按下字母 D 可“快速訪問桌面”。第二次按下上述組合鍵可恢復到剛剛使用的視窗。
更改螢幕解析度時，您的fence會自動縮放以保持您的圖示布局。如果您經常更改解析度，清使用“更多工具”中的設定，以按螢幕解析度獨立存儲您的fence布局。
歷史
"Fences", originally "Desktop Icon Organizer", was started in 1999 as a tool to help standardize desktops across PCs, back in the author's high school "web-editors club" computer lab. (Screenshots from / download the 2003 prototype edition) It wasn't until 2007 when the idea was first publically announced and brought for discussion around the web. About a year later the program finally got its chance at a Vista-compatible remake, and in 2008 Stardock proudly announced its new product, "Stardock Fences"!
