凱特·斯蒂文斯是英國民謠搖滾的代表人物，原名史蒂文·喬治烏（Steven Georgiou）。當他成為一名國際明星之後，於1979年皈依宗教並放棄了他的音樂事業並在1977年改名為Yusuf Islam，兩年後，他逐漸從流行音樂界淡出。1981年，Yusuf Islam開始創作一些宗教題材的歌曲。迄今為止，他在他自己的Mountain of Light廠牌已經發行了10張單是鼓加人聲的專輯，而這些內容被他精選收錄到了最近的專輯《Footsteps in the Light》當中。
