Victoria is a Southern girl who runs from abuse in a small town in North Carolina to follow her dreams in New York City. As a little girl she dreamed of growing up and becoming a famous dancer. Instead she ends up in a cruel relationship in the midst of an underground world of raves, drugs and abuse. When sober, she suffers major bouts of depression. She writes as part of her therapy and escapes from the real world. Her imaginary life begins at her computer, but slowly becomes an obsession and loses all distinction from reality. In her fantasy world, her Alter Ego Jana, is as she envisioned her life to be in childhood. Her real life abusive boyfriend, Taylor, becomes the perfect guy, Travis, and everything conforms to her fantastic ideal. As her mental disorder progresses and her real-life relationship deteriorates, she becomes envious of her more perfect fictitious self. Tragically, her writing turns morbid and becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy of her real life.Written by Katka Konecna
