Devaraja Prathapa Varma (Mohanlal), an underworld don and wealthy businessman wants payback for his brother Karthik Varma's (Dileep) murderers.

迪利普 has decided to produce the movie and hand over a sum of 10 million rupees to the association.
The movie is produced for Association of Malayalam Movie Artists or popularly known as 'AMMA', for their fund raising.
All the stars in the Malayalam film industry agreed to act in the movie free of cost.
Prominent malayalam actor Murali did not get a role in the movie, though every members of AMMA was supposed to act.
The film became the highest-grossing Malayalam film ever, to that date.
Mohanlal won the Vanitha Film Award for Best Actor for his role.
