Time in a Bottle（時光寶瓶）是美國民謠搖滾歌手Jim Croce第三張錄音室專輯《You Don't Mess Around with Jim》（1972年4月）中的一首歌，當時沒有作為單曲發行，直至Jim Croce因飛機失事去世後，ABC唱片公司發行了單曲版。這首歌成為Jim Croce第二首也是最後一首Billboard Hot 100冠軍單曲，成為繼Otis Redding《(Sittin’On)The Dock Of The Bay》、Janis Joplin《Me and Bobby McGee》之後第三位在藝人去世後的冠軍單曲，同時歌曲所屬專輯《You Don't Mess Around with Jim》大賣，1974年年初在Billboard 200獲得冠軍五周的佳績，成為Jim Croce唯一的冠軍專輯。

創作背景
1970年年底，Jim Croce妻子告訴他懷孕的訊息，經常在外演出的Jim Croce深感內疚，於是滿懷感激地創作出了生平最有名的歌曲——《Time in a Bottle》。Jim Croce與Adrian James（1973年家中）
時光滴答滴答走的當中，夢也一場一場的來到，最後總覺得一些遺憾在，如果時間再多一點的話，或者時間能走慢一點的話，可能有些夢還來得及遂願，但是，就像我寫的歌，我正在寫《匆匆》這首歌的時候，它是我第二首作品，這個歌裡面的時間是一個箭頭一直往前走，那不是說我們虛擲光陰，是光陰把我們拋得遠遠的，但是我們一直在唱Jim Croce的一首歌，叫做《Time in a Bottle》。我才知道，原來也有人希望時間是可以鎖在瓶子裡的，可以把一些還沒有達到的願望或者可以把它暫時鎖在一個地方。
