Necrophobic成立於1989年，算得上瑞典死亡\黑金屬的元老以及中堅力量，他們在1993年發行的首張專輯<The Nocturnal Silence>可以被列入那個時期瑞典死亡的代表作行列，而在1997年推出的第二張專輯<Darkside>則把樂隊推到了巔峰，再加上1999年的<The Third Antichrist>，這三部作品構成了樂隊最為經典的時期，作為了解此樂隊的絕好材料，實在不容錯過。Necrophobic的音樂具有深刻意蘊及民族特色，黑味十足，偏重邪惡、褻瀆、陰暗氛圍的營造，同時也不喪失旋律性，過硬的編曲、演奏、演唱技巧有力地支持其他們的音樂思想。
