Barzai the Wise is a magician who lives in the town of Ulthar, beyond the Skai River, together his disciple Atal. Arrogant and proud, Barzai dreams every night to climb Hatheg-Kla, a mountain close to Ulthar where the gods dance to the moonlight when the clouds hides the top. Not listening the words of Atal who advises against it to his master, Barzai travels to Hatheg-Kla with his disciple in order to fulfill his dreams. Atal stops in the mountain frightened to continue, but Barzai climbs to reach the top of it. When he arrives, Barzai makes his dream come true to meet the gods in their crazy dance, but then something happens, something that not even Barzai could to predict: a lunar eclipse hides the moon and submerges all Hatheg-Kla in the darkness. In this moment the eclipse creates a portal for the Other Gods, evil beings from the depths of the universe: Yog-Sothoth, Nyarlathotep, Shub-Niggurath and other horrible entities that during the eclipse return to Earth, kidnapping Barzai and take him with them forever. After that the eclipse ends Atal, terrified, climbs the top looking for Barzai, but he isn't there. All that Atal finds is a strange symbol engraves in a rock, making that the disciple descendes from Hatheg-Kla to alert Ulthar's people to fear the eclipses and the mists that hide the moon and the mountains.

This animated short was produced in 2005-2006. A fictional history of the movie was created, that it was made by a Peter Rhodes in 1924 under the approval of H.P. Lovecraft.
