早年經歷
The New Pornographers是加拿大獨立搖滾樂隊，1999年成立於不列顛哥倫比亞省溫哥華市。
演藝經歷
樂隊最初的4張專輯每張都在鄉村音樂之聲的Pazz ＆ Jop 排前40名，由當年數以百計的音樂評論家投票得出。2000年到2006年，無論是New Pornographers的專輯還是樂隊成員的個人專輯，每年都在榜單上排名前40。2007年，《Blender》雜誌評出The New Pornographers的第一張專輯《Mass Romantic》是24屆中有史以來最佳獨立專輯。榜單中第二張高評價的加拿大專輯，僅次於Arcade Fire的《Funeral》（排名第六）。2009年，《滾石》雜誌評出樂隊第二張專輯《Electric Version》在“100張最佳專輯”中排名79。
