TDA7492是市場上首款額定功率50W+50W的放大器，採用支持單片集成模擬、邏輯和高壓功能的先進的第六代BCD6S製程 （雙極/CMOS/DMOS。與其它的D類放大器相比，ST的BCD6S製程取得了更高晶片面積能效比，同時還降低了串擾，提高了音質。此外，BCD6S準許在高功率輸出電路內集成NMOS和PMOS互補電晶體，省去了舊式製程所需的外部自舉電容和陰極負載二極體。這種方法體系簡化了設計，節省電路板空間，提高產品設計的可靠性，並最佳化了材料成本。
