Pure Reason Revolution於2003年成立於英國威斯敏斯特大學，2004年簽約SonyBMG，先後發一些單曲和一張EP，在2006年發布第一張專輯《The Dark Third》，獲得了不小的成績，同年和SonyBMG解除契約。
Pure Reason Revolution is a British rock group formed at the University of Westminster in 2003. Their music incorporates elements of progressive rock (Rick Wakeman has given the band a favourable review) and grunge rock. It has been variously described as 'Astral Folk' and 'New prog'.Members have a shared appreciation for the work of bands such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Porcupine Tree, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and the Super Furry Animals.
