作者簡介
美國作家、插畫家。《划槳入海》（1941）獲凱迪克獎，《隨海鳥遠航》（1948）《鱷龜明妮的河流之旅》（1951）獲紐伯瑞獎，《寄居蟹派格的潮池生活》（1957）也是男的的佳作。霍林·克蘭西·霍林生於密西根州南部的傑克遜縣，1923年畢業於芝加哥藝術學院。他曾在芝加哥菲爾德自然史博物館的動物標本製作部門工作，也曾跟隨拉爾夫·林頓(Ralph Linton，1893-1954)研究人類學。
