創作背景

布蘭妮·斯皮爾斯在2003年美國MTV音樂錄影帶獎排練節目時，向麥當娜·西科尼表演了《Me Against the Music》的錄製版本，麥當娜·西科尼在布蘭妮·斯皮爾斯的邀請後確認合作。之後，麥當娜·西科尼改編了該曲並將她的錄唱部分加入該曲中。2003年9月16日，布蘭妮·斯皮爾斯自作主張地將《Me Against the Music》列為《In The Zone》的首單。布蘭妮·斯皮爾斯借《Me Against The Music》表達大眾對音樂的熱愛，她想通過該曲讓她在音樂的各方面達到極限。
