《Lost in the Sound of Separation》與Underoath此前的作品一脈相承，重、快、狠依然是他們的殺手鐧。而Underoath在這張專輯中的另外一點非常出色的就是他們的歌詞，在整張專輯概念化的編曲框架中，他們在歌詞上下了很多功夫，從很多歌的名字上大家都可以明顯體會到這一點。從整體上來看，這張《Lost in the Sound of Separation》是一張比《Define the Great Line》整體水準更高的專輯，現在的這支Underoath正處在他們的巔峰時刻。
