創作背景
這是杜阿·利帕在專輯《Future Nostalgia》中第一支完成的歌曲，她希望通過該曲勾勒出專輯的雛形，該曲採樣自Blondie的歌曲《Rapture》，將說唱部分融入橋段中，並邀請Koz和Stuart Price參與製作。該曲的兩支混音曲一支邀請了DaBaby參與合作，另一支邀請了麥當娜·西科尼和Missy Eliott助陣，The Blessed Madonna製作。

《Levitating》猶如回到過去重看未來，節奏明快，具有混搭風格，將深受Debbie Harry影響的饒舌部分伴隨其中。散發著20世紀70年代迪斯科般的氛圍，沒有帶著舞池裡的眼淚，但有純粹的快樂和對無憂無慮的夜生活的讚美。歌曲講述了杜阿·利帕被正在交往的人所吸引，並且整晚都在想靠近他的故事。但就抒情而言，該曲顯得相對平淡。
