Part One, Modern Management of Liver Disease, advises on the most relevant problems of the day: hepatitis B, variceal bleeding liver transplantation and alcholoic liver disease. Part Two focusses on emergency conditions, namely: acute colitis, AIDS and the gastrointestinal tract, imaging in obstructive jaundice and acute pancrealitis. Lastly, Part Three, presents pharmacological considerations with respect to peptic ulceration. This section addresses issues such as the importance of camphylobacter pyloridis, drug induced peptic ulceration, appropriate inhibition of gastric acid secretion, DU disease and gastroduenal bicarbonate secretion.
