K·C·尼古勞

K·C·尼古勞（Kyriacos Costa Nicolaou，簡稱 KCN，1946年6月5日－），賽普勒斯裔美國化學家，有機合成大師級人物之一。

經歷

1946年 在賽普勒斯卡拉瓦斯出生，希臘裔。他在那念書、長大，直至 18 歲。

1964年 來到英國，學了兩年英語，後進入倫敦大學學習化學。1969年 在 Bedford College 取得理學學位。

K·C·尼古勞頭像

1972年 取得倫敦大學學院博士學位，師從 F. Sondheimer 和 P. J. Garratt 教授。

1972年 來到美國，在哥倫比亞大學（1972－1973，師從 T. J. Katz 教授），哈佛大學（1973－1976，師從 E. J. Corey），獲博士後。後成為賓夕法尼亞大學的 Rhodes-Thompson 化學教授。

1989年 被任命為聖地牙哥加利福尼亞大學化學教授，斯克里普斯研究所（Scripps Research Institute）Darlene Shiley 教授、化學系主任。

1996年 被任命為 Scripps 研究所的 Aline W. 和 L.S. Skaggs 化學生物學教授。

研究領域

主要對天然產物全合成、全合成策略進行研究。已合成的標誌性分子有：

endiandric acids、amphotericin B、calicheamicin1I、rapamycin、紫杉醇（Taxol??）、zaragozic acid、brevetoxin B、brevetoxin A、埃博黴素（the epothilones）、eleutherobin、萬古黴素（vancomycin）、the CP-molecules、sanglifehrin、the bisorbicillinoids、apoptolidin、the coleophomones、diazonamide A、1-O-methyllateriflorone、the azaspiracids、thiostrepton、the bisanthraquinones、the abyssomicins、the marinomycins、platensimycin、uncialamycin、biyouyanagin、platencin、cortistatin 和 turbinamycin 等。
