Harry Belafonte 亨瑞．貝拉方特 　原名哈羅德．喬治．小貝拉方特，1927年03月01日生於紐約市哈萊姆區。童年時代在牙買加他父親的出生地過著貧困的生活。二戰結束後，他勤工儉學在紐約戲劇進修所學習。1952年開始以唱民歌作為他的職業。1953年第一次上銀幕，演出《光輝的道路》。同年，他還在百老匯演出《約翰．默里．安迪森的年曆》，獲戲劇托尼獎。 　他於1987年獲任命為兒童基金會的親善大使。Belafonte先生在一生中一直公開反對不正義。他站在美國境內捍衛人權鬥爭的前列，也是“藝術家聯合援助非洲協會”的一位核心人士，並曾參加演唱1986年那首名為“我們是世界”的歌。Belafonte先生多年來一直支持兒童基金會的各項努力，組織了義演音樂會和籌款活動並參加演出，走訪各國並為兒童大聲疾呼。他向美國國會做了各種工作，力圖說明當局制訂各項惠及兒童的政策，這些努力對於兒童基金會和世界各地兒童的事業來說十分重要。 　Harry Belafonte，人稱“卡利普索歌曲之王”，是最成功的美籍非裔音樂明星之一，其吸收了民謠、爵士和世界打擊節奏音樂的精髓，在主流音樂方面取得了成功，其受到歡迎的程度在黑人民權運動之前絕無僅有，而且他也是民權運動的先鋒，2000年獲得格萊美終身成就獎。

歌手介紹

四兄弟合唱團組建於1958年，成員是華盛頓大學的4名學生，Bob Flick、Michael Kirkland、John Paine和Dick Foley。他們在教友社團里結識並開始合唱生涯。
1959年“四兄弟”與哥倫比亞唱片公司簽約，並迅速以一首《綠土》(GREEN FIELD)打入排行榜。
1961至1963年期間，他們在300多所大學裡進行了巡迴演出，獲得了很高的聲譽。“四兄弟”合唱團也經常在一些The Ed Sullivan Show、The Pat Boone Chevy Showroom、Mitch Miller's Singalong等電視秀上露面。
1997年，四兄弟在日本的演出結束後發行了一張雙唱片集《東京盒帶》，裡面不光收錄了像《綠袖子》，《500里》，《再見牙買加》這樣的成名曲，還收錄了一些愛爾蘭歌謠和民謠復興時代的歌曲。
