Set in a present day urban environment, "Jack Boyz" is the gritty tale of an ambitious crew of stick-up men with a flawless record. Led by the wise and meticulous minded Salim, the gang follows a strict week-long regimen of cleansing and synergy before each heist.

- Although Ian Cranston and Macc Dundee collaborated on the screenplay (and received film festival nominations for doing so), much of the film's eventual dialogue was improvised by the cast.
- Every one of Cheff Dee's outfits had a watch and a pinkie ring to go with it.
- After Macc Dundee's mother saw the film, she told her son that the movie was good, then asked him if he had to curse so much.
- For the famous "Keep Your Head Up" montage, Ian Cranston played the "piano" section of the song during the shooting of each scene, so that certain bars of the piano piece would match up with certain shots.
- The M.P.A.A. ordered ten frames of blood removed from the film before granting it an R rating.
