麥可·傑克遜（Michael Jackson），1958年08月29日在美國印第安納州加里市出生，美國歌手、詞曲創作人、舞蹈家、表演家、慈善家、音樂家、人道主義者、和平主義者、慈善機構創辦人。

傑克遜是家族的第七個孩子，他在1964年作為傑克遜五人組的成員和他的兄弟一起在職業音樂舞台上初次登台，1968年樂隊與當地的一家唱片公司合作出版了第一張唱片《Big Boy》。1971年12月，發行了個人首支單曲《Got to be there》，標誌著其個人獨唱生涯的開始。

1982年12月，傑克遜音樂生涯最暢銷的專輯《Thriller》發行。1987年9月，傑克遜展開個人首次全球巡演。通過舞台和視頻的表演，傑克遜普及了一些像機械舞和太空步等舞蹈技術。傑克遜一生中兩次入選的搖滾名人堂，獲得了13個葛萊美獎和26個全美音樂獎。在他單飛生涯中，他擁有13支美國冠軍單曲。2000年金氏世界紀錄大全里認證他資助過39個慈善機構。
