慣聽搖滾的樂迷可能不太習慣The Prodigy的成員組合，兩個舞者、一個饒舌歌者和一個DJ。不同的角度會看到The Prodigy不同的面貌∶若只是拿著CD聽，一肩挑起音樂創作與製作之責的Liam Howlett便是一切；若是觀看他們的表演，那兩個動作狂暴的舞者Kieth Flint與Leeroy Thornhill最搶眼，留著魔鬼髮型的Kieth Flint，更是The Prodigy的形象代表，但整個團的頭頭，卻是負責rap的Maxim Reality－以舞曲界的術語來說，他是「司儀（MC）」。

Album Description
Prodigy's debut album, Experience, is now reissued in a special 2 CD edition. Disc 1 is the Experience album digitally remastered; disc 2 is the expanded bonus album compiled of remixes and single b-sides, including the rave classic Charly Alley Cat remix. This 2 CD set, in a double slimline jewelbox, now includes all the original mixes of the band's first five U.K. top 10 hits. 2001 XL release.
Prodigy were pioneers in bringing electro/rave soundwaves into the mainstream, and "Experience" was the catalyst. Ahead of its time, "Experience" represents the Prodigy sound before they were "smacking their [...] up" and "break[ing] and enter[ing]". Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate what Prodigy created later in their career, but "Experience" has always felt to me like a CD with no hidden agenda other than to make really great, borderline insane dance music.
"Experience", on the other hand, has probably not withstood the test of time as some of their later work, and often comes off now as slightly annoying and maybe even cheesy. On the other hand, it's a great stroll down memory lane for those of us who were, like Prodigy, throwing ourselves heavy into the early 90s rave scene (which also did not withstand the test of time).
"Jericho" and "Music Reach" are the strongest, next to the greatest hit of Prodigy's career to date, "Charly" (although the best mixes appear on the "Charly" single CD).
I hate to admit it, but I have to somewhat agree with staticwithabeat, who reviewed this album as a one star album. After many 6 hour car trips, I've decided it seems as though there's less work put into the music in this album, it almost feels raw in some ways. The album is not as dark as their other two. If this sounds like what you're looking for, more power to you. Just don't expect to get another album like Music for the Jilted Generation or The Fat of the Land. The album is a very different style for Prodigy. Personally, I tend to listen to the other two albums more often.
