Pete認為自己非常幸運，因為每周五在Radio 1都能與幾百萬個正開始他們周末的人連繫。The Essential Selection也常常播出所有音樂風格里最棒的創作，而Pete也因聽眾們極佳反應而開始每周晚7點於他的節目裡放一些經典之作。 ‘ 人的一生真的會發生很多事，但只有音樂能讓人們回想到從前，讓人們感覺到很舒服’ 。Pete說 ‘ 當你聽見這些聲調時，總是能讓你的心又再次沸騰，並激起你的回憶’。
要在萬美之中挑出精華真的非常不容易。但Pete以大步的姿態將所有的聚集一起，然後回想一些當時最受喜愛的音樂，也就是這幾年來他曾放進排行榜第一名，後來也成為超級當紅的音樂。
Pete說 ‘記住最近的經典編輯，我試著去選一些出眾，且意義深遠的原版音樂…我很謝謝有Daft Punk團隊的幫忙，給我一些稀有，但卻在Ibiza意義非凡的音樂。’
Pete不只是個成功的電台主持人及俱樂部DJ，也是位在音樂技術上創新的領導人。像他自己研發的 ‘Tongcast’ （podcast）版本便提供給全世界約40，000人下載資訊。Pete還有更多東西唷- 眼睛隨時保持張開的狀態就能找到下次最新的Essential Selection專輯。
