1965年英國著名搖滾樂隊The Animals翻唱，改編為布魯斯搖滾版，收錄在樂隊第三張錄音室專輯《Animal Tracks》中，在UK Singles Chart（英國單曲榜）取得季軍成績，在Billboard Hot 100打入前二十。2004年《滾石》評選的“The 500 greatest songs of all time”中排列第315位。
1977年Santa Esmeralda改編為拉丁&弗拉明戈版本，收錄在同名專輯《Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood》中，此版本用於1992年電影《American Me》、2003年的電影《殺死比爾》和2010年電影《人在囧途》的插曲。
