作者簡介
葛瑞漢（1919—1991），當代英國著名漢學家和哲學家。1919年生於威爾斯；早年就讀於牛津大學；二戰期間在英國皇家空軍服役，曾在倫敦大學亞非學院接受日語培訓，並被派往馬來西亞、泰國等地擔任日文翻譯；退役後重返亞非學院學習中文，1950年畢業後留校任教，1953年獲博 士學位，歷任講師，教授；1981年當選為英國學術院院士；1991年病逝。《泰晤士報》稱他為：“世界公認的中國哲學和語言研究的重要權威，中國哲學與詩詞的天才翻譯家，把中國古代的生活理念介紹給西方的傑出闡釋者。”
他的主要著作有《兩位中國哲學家：程明道與程伊川》（1958年）、《列子譯註：道的經典》（1960年）、《價值問題》（1961年）、《後期墨家邏輯、倫理與科學》（1978年）、《：內七篇及其他作品》（1981年）、《理性與自然》（1985年）、《陰陽與關聯思維的本質》（1986年）、《中國哲學與哲學文獻研究》（1986年）、《論道者：中國古代哲學論辯》（1989年）和《理性中的非理性》（1992年）等。其中，《論道者：中國古代哲學論辯》是其最重要的代表作。
