Christopher Lloyd在把名字改為Lloyd Banks之後就好像真的進入銀行一樣擁有了成袋的美刀，不過他進入的銀行可是暴發戶50 Cent屯起來的。由於長年跟著50 Cent打拚，以及作為50 Cent的G-Unit樂團主力，在50 Cent發達之後，Lloyd Banks也就成為了響噹噹的人物。在招搖的50 Cent大旗指引下，Lloyd Banks的這張個人處子專輯在發行首周就熱賣了43萬4千張，雄居Billboard 200排行榜的冠軍寶座。
從業經歷
現年22歲的Lloyd Banks原名Christopher Lloyd，出生在美國紐約市皇后區的Jamaica，母親是波多黎各人，父親是一名黑人。和眾多潦倒的黑人家庭一樣，Lloyd Banks也成長於這樣的街頭環境。在很小的時候，Lloyd Banks就開始搞一些說唱歌曲的創作，但那時的這些創作還只是文字。後來，中學的Lloyd Banks開始聽Big Daddy Kane，Slick Rick等說唱歌手的作品，由此激發起了Lloyd Banks對說唱音樂的興趣，並在此後成為了他的職業。不久之後，不滿16歲的Lloyd Banks從高中退學，並且開始頻繁的出入於當地的一些小型錄音工作間，並且在這些混錄磁帶中得到鍛鍊，成為了當地最好的說唱歌手之一，而競爭對手則是他的鄰居Tony Yayo，以及50 Cent。1999年，17歲的Lloyd Banks與這兩名鄰居化競爭對手為同僚，儘管三人都並無名氣，但仍然共同組建了G-Unit說唱樂團。
Lloyd Banks等三人組團之後，說唱音樂發展漸漸有了好轉，他們創作並演唱更多更出色的說唱單曲，並且通過錄製的磁帶引起了關注。但是不久之後，Tony Yayo因為非法持有槍枝而被宣判入獄服刑，G-Unit說唱樂團加入了Young Buck替代Tony Yayo。此後G-Unit說唱樂團的成員一直在一起工作，在50 Cent取得事業轉機的時候，Lloyd Banks一直是50 Cent的左膀右臂，在2003年50 Cent的爆發專輯《Get Rich Or Die Tryin'》里，Lloyd Banks親自參與創作了許多單曲包括熱門單曲《21 Questions》。而在此後大多數的演出活動中，50 Cent的表演也大多是以G-Unit的人馬組成。
