16歲時因踢球受傷不得不退出高中足球隊,同時發現自身的音樂才華與對音樂的熱情,開始在街頭表演說唱音樂,並以此賺錢幫他的單親媽媽補貼家用。 從2013年開始,Gray已經在費城的各大音樂節登台表演,包括jay-z的 Made in America Festival,The Roots' Picnic Festival, 和 Power 99FM's Powerhouse concert。他也為饒舌歌手諸如 Fabolous 和2 Chainz做開場表演。
2015年他得到了他演員生涯的第一個角色——Hakeem。（嘻哈帝國）
