"Boy Blue"是辛迪第二張專輯<True Colors>發行的第四首單曲，此曲是辛迪為去世的朋友所寫，是一首十分私人化的歌曲。歌曲標題則引自詩人Eugene Field的一首詩歌"Little Boy Blue"。

辛迪的這位朋友因為其同志身份經常遭到欺凌，最後因染上愛滋病後去世。他在生前十分喜歡That's what friend are for這首歌，並希望會有人會為他寫一首歌。

辛迪在他去世後為了紀念他而寫下這首歌。

這首歌曲在發行後成為了辛迪第一首榜單失利的單曲，其音樂錄影帶為影音專輯<Cyndi Lauper in Paris>中的片段節選。
