This part, together with BS 476: Parts 20, 22, 23 and supersedes BS 476: Part 8:1972, which is withdrawn. However, the latter will still be made available on request, since it is referred to in the building regulations and other legislative documents.

樣品暴露下高溫高壓條件下，看測試樣品在規定時間內的承重量，完整性、隔熱性。BS476-21的測試時間可以為30分鐘，60分鐘，90分鐘，120分鐘，150鐘，180分鐘等，具體時間根據客戶要求及產品性能而定。
