浦安迪（Andrew H. Plaks），1945年出生於美國紐約，1973年獲普林斯頓大學博士學位。現任普林斯頓大學東亞系和比較文學系榮休教授、以色列希伯來大學東亞系教授。浦安迪通曉十幾種語言，尤其對漢語、日語、俄語、法語、希伯來語最為精通；研究領域廣泛，如中國古典小說、敘事學、中國傳統思想文化、中西文學文化比較等。代表作品有《〈紅樓夢〉的原型和寓意》（Archetype and Allegory in the Dream of the Red Chamber）、《中國敘事文：批評與理論文匯》（Chinese Narrative: Critical and Theoretical Essays）、《明代小說四大奇書》（The Four Masterworks of the Ming Novel）等。
