1.有色金屬表面處理技術及成果轉化(鈦合金微弧氧化、陽極氧化、特種電鍍、熱噴塗技術、重裝防腐);
2.鈦合金及複合材料設計及加工技術。

科學研究
長期從事金屬塑性變形和輕金屬表面強化技術及裝備研究,特別是在鈦、鎂和鋁合金微弧氧化、特種電鍍等表面處理技術及成果轉化具有較好的研究基礎。形成了原位功能微弧氧化膜層製備、多層電鍍和非晶噴塗等關鍵技術,已經套用於陸運裝備和海運裝備、管道運輸及部分民用領域。近年來主持承擔課題包括國家自然科學基金、國家重點研發計畫、國家重大科技專項、陝西省重大專項、陝西省重點產業鏈、陝西省國際合作重點、陝西省聯合基金項目、陝西省自然科學基金重點項目、校企合作等課題70餘項。國內外影響力的期刊《Advanced Functional Materials》、《Script materials》、《International Journal of Plasticity》發表SCI論文120餘篇,授權國家發明專利12件,其中,7件專利已經轉化並在海洋工程和石油化工等領域開展套用;基金委資助出版專著《鈦合金相變及熱處理》及國家重點出版著作《新型合金材料-鈦合金》。目前任教育部學位論文評定專家、國家科技部、自然科學基金委及多省市科技項目評審專家,國際著名期刊《Acta materialia》等多家期刊編委及審稿人。2018年和2019年分獲陝西高等學校科學技術二等獎1項(R3)和一等獎1項(R1)。

科技成果
鈦合金接箍鍍銅處理技術已經獲批專利多項,已經與河北省華通纜線集團股份公司合作,形成成果轉化,相關專利已經在油田,海底纜線等方面推廣使用。鈦合金微弧氧化技術已產業化,相關技術及裝備已經開始使用,領域涉及軍工、醫療器件和輕工業製品。
教育教學
長期開展教學及教學研究和認證評估工作,先後為本碩博授課:《機械工程材料》、《模具設計與製造》、《有色金屬及套用》等,主持並完成多門愛課程線上課程和仿真課程建設,其中,首批國家一流混合課程《機械工程材料》負責人,首批國家級課程思政示範課程《材料前沿講座》負責人(團隊、名師),首批國際慕課《Engining Materials》負責人,首批陝西省一流線上課程《工程材料》負責人,陝西省一流虛擬仿真《基於逆向工程設計等機械類模具設計》負責人,將線上課程和虛擬仿真有效結合,形成了線上學習,仿真實驗和線下操作多維度授課體系。圍繞一流課程打造精品教材,先後出版國家規劃教材《機械工程材料》、《模具設計與製造》和《材料力學性能》等5部,其中《機械工程材料》獲陝西省教材二等獎一部。在教育教學改革方面,在學校較早的提出拔尖創新人才培養模式和培養方案,以此為基礎提出了典型工科多維度遞進式人才培養模式,針對本科和研究生教育先後獲批陝西省教改項目5項,陝西省教學成果二等獎1項,教育部產學研合作項目1項。指導學生實踐競賽環節,先後指導學生國家級大學生創新創業項目10預項,依次為依託,培育創建了“新銳科技”品牌團隊,先後參加了4屆中國網際網路加大賽,獲得國家級銅獎2項,省級金獎和銀獎各1項,挑戰杯及其他地市級競賽獲得二等獎以上5項,逐步實現了科教融合的教育理念。
