本書選編了作者及研究團隊多年來在算法方面具有代表性的論文,主要涉及高精度有限差分格式構造方法及理論、高精度格式推廣及套用技術等內容。前言簡要介紹了作者本人以及所帶領的研究團隊開展研究工作的情況,第一部分主要是作者在高精度有限差分算法研究方面的綜述性文章,第二部分為高精度格式及其構造理論,包括高精度有限差分格式的設計方法、頻譜分析方法以及幾何守恆律理論;第三部分為高精度格式推廣和套用技術研究,主要包括如何將標量方程下設計的高精度格式推廣到多維貼體坐標下的流動方程求解,如何在高性能計算機上進行高效並行計算等;第四部分為高精度格式的具體套用,主要介紹採用自主設計的HDCS格式和WCNS格式對典型複雜流動的精細模擬。附錄羅列了鄧小剛院士及合作者發表的部分論文。
