開發了一種全新的、簡便有效的“自分散”聚合工藝製備高分子微納米球。該技術在傳統的製備高分子球的乳液聚合、分散聚合的基礎上,通過調整高分子鏈的微結構與反應介質之間的相互作用性,聚合體系中不需添加任何乳化劑(或分散劑)便可得到高分子膠體球的穩定分散相。據此提出了“自分散”聚合的概念,系統研究了其中的反應動力學、膠體與界面特性、成核與穩定機理等等。“自分散”聚合高分子球的大小可在幾十納米到幾微米之間的廣泛尺度內連續調節,而且粒徑均勻,接近單分散性。更為重要的是,此種高分子微納米球的表面帶有高反應活性的酸酐官能團,這為通過酐基的一系列後續反應對微球進行表面修飾提供了方便,從而有利於開拓其在生物醫學領域的套用。該技術現已申請1項國家發明專利並已授權。另外,在國外高水平的聚合物刊物如Macromolecular Rapid Communications、Journal of Polymer Science(Part A)、Macromolecular Chemistry and Physics等發表了系列論文。
