來自石大新聞網的訊息。邢穎副教授與其合作者,通過極低溫強磁場掃描隧道電子顯微鏡和電輸運手段,在外爾半金屬TaIrTe4母體(無需摻雜或複雜加工工藝)塊材表面上發現表面超導,並給出了非常規超導電性的實驗證據。這一結果對馬約拉納費米子的觀測與套用具有重要的推動作用。外爾半金屬是一種新穎的量子態,其線性色散關係使得外爾半金屬成為一種相對論性的電子系統,被稱為是“三維的石墨烯”,有望構築無耗散或低耗散的電子電路,克服積體電路的發熱難題,在節能方面有很大的潛在套用價值。12月16日,該項研究成果以“Surface superconductivity in thetype II Weyl semimetal TaIrTe4” (第二類外爾半金屬TaIrTe4的表面超導電性)為題在綜合性學術期刊《國家科學評論》(《National Science Review》),(影響因子13.2)上公開發表。
