朱利安·泰普林(Julian R.Taplin),Julian Taplin was born in UK of anAmerican mother and British father.After a childhood unsettled by WWIIhe obtained BS degree in physics atOregon State, followed by MA andPhD in clinical psychology from theUniversity of Oregon. His careercentered on child, youth and familymental health, finishing in 2001 asfirst permanent Director, Division ofChild Mental Health Services, Stateof Delaware.Taplin has visited China some 26times, for over 3 years' totalexperience in China. In that time, hehas given almost 200 talks, written 15books and organized a strong ruralschool. He has served as GuestProfessor, Sichuan Academy of SocialScience, since 1998. In 2010 he wasnominated for the nationalcompetition, "10 People RaisingChina" sponsored by China CentralTelevision (CCTV). He was elected"Honorary Citizen of the City of Chengdu" in 2011.
