人物經歷
1982年8月畢業於西北農學院(西北農林科技大學)畜牧獸醫系。歷任中國科學院西北高原生物研究所動物研究室主任、所長、黨委書記。現任中國科學院成都生物研究所所長,中國青藏研究會會理事、獸類學會常務理事等,中國生態系統研究網路科學委員會委員,《獸類學報》副主編,國家新世紀千百萬工程首批人選。

主要研究領域為草地生態、動物營養、動物生態。
主要貢獻
發表論文300餘篇,其中被SCI收錄的刊物論文40餘篇,主編學術專著3部,制定退化草地恢復、草地資源合理利用、放牧家畜補飼己育肥技術規程7項。在高原代表性土著動物的進化與適應、高寒草甸生態系統與全球變化及高寒草地生態系統的可持續管理等方面的研究達到國際先進水平,已在JGR,AFM,SBB,GCB,ELE等刊物發表數篇高水平論文。首次在系統和整體層次上構建了生態上健全可靠、經濟和生產上合理可行的一系列高寒地區退化生態系統恢復的最佳化模式和集成技術,包括青藏高原草地合理利用、人工草地種植、退化天然草地修復高寒草地集約化畜牧業的整個系統的綜合管理模式,為三江源區及青海湖流域生態治理工程提供了技術支撐。
