這是一本由四川悟閱文化傳播有限公司策劃出版的詩集。大運河可以說是作者的母親河。他把對母親的感情寄託於大運河，以回憶和想像交融的筆調編織出真摯的詩篇。多年來北塔曾因工作關係遊歷（江）南運河沿岸的諸多城鎮，多多少少都寫了作品。因為常住北京，而北京的通州區是北運河的終點，他曾多次去遊覽。作者時常在玉河邊徜徉，思考人生。因此，北塔也寫了不少關於北運河的詩篇。本書所收作品分為上下兩大部分，上部題為“南運河之子”，下部題為“北運河之遊子”。總題則為“貫穿我的河”，意思是：大運河不僅從空間也從時間貫穿了北塔的人生，而且貫穿了他的身心。

作者簡介
北塔，生於蘇州，現居北京，系中國現代文學館研究員、世界詩人大會常務副秘書長兼中國辦事處主任，河北師範大學、中央民族大學、北京師範大學等高校客座教授、研究生導師，中國外國文學研究會莎士比亞研究分會秘書長，出版有詩集《巨蟒緊抱街衢——北京詩選》、學術專著《照亮自身的深淵——北塔詩學文選》和譯著《八堂課》（庫切長篇小說）等約三十種。曾受邀赴三十餘國參加各類文學、學術活動，曾率中國詩歌代表團前往近二十國訪問交流並參加詩會。
