《變換的邊界:亞裔美國作家和批評家訪談錄》分兩部分——作家訪談和批評家訪談，共19篇採訪，其中大部分訪談是作者從2009年到2010年間在美國加州大學伯克利分校做富布賴特訪問學者期間完成的。難能可貴的是，作者儘量不局限於華裔文學，也跳出了反覆研摩少數幾個經典作家的窠臼，而是縱觀亞裔文學的整體發展，通過訪談，切切實實去傾聽更多亞裔作家講述他們的故事，傾聽亞裔文學批評家講述亞裔運動的起源、追溯其發展、分析其現狀；通過提問，與批評家們一起追溯亞裔美國研究形成的歷史，探討其最新發展的動態以及今後的發展趨勢。同時，力求挖掘作家們不為讀者所知的寫作動機、與其他作家的互動以及作品背後的故事。

作者簡介
劉葵蘭，北京外國語大學英語學院副教授，英語學院華裔美國文學研究中心主任，自2002年至今在北外任教。2009年8月-2010年7月在加州大學伯克利分校族裔研究系擔任富布賴特訪問學者。研究方向為美國文學，重點是亞裔美國文學。參加了吳冰主持的國家社科基金項目《華裔美國作家研究》，譯著有《承諾第八》和《饑渴》(第一譯者)，先後發表有關亞裔文學的論文20餘篇。
