Reiyen Software Technology Co. Ltd. is located in the software park of the High Tech Zone, Xi'an City, China. The company is founded by Dr. Yeou Hwang in 2009. Dr. Hwang has a Ph.D in computer science and over 25 years experience in software development in ATT BELL Labs, Motorola and other small companies. The vision of Reiyen is to focus on developing and integrating value added Java applications for its clients. Specifically, the company develops expertise on the integration of Java open source software to fulfill the customers' needs.
All the engineer staffs in Reiyen are graduated from major universities in Xian with computer degrees. They are proficient in Java language and Java related development tools. One recently completed project, an Intelligent Major Enterprise Data Analysis and Monitoring System for the Xi'an High Tech Zone (HTZ) Administration Bureau, can demonstrate thecore skill set of Reiyen's engineering staff.
The key requirements from the HTZ Administration Bureau including a data warehouse; tools for importing and storing enterprise raw data;tools for defining new views on these data; tools for defining economic indexes based on predefined or new formula; performing complex query on the raw data and economic indexes using GUI; performing statistic analysis and forecasting; generating formatted table and chart reports. The core proprietary back-end systems are SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services server and SPSS Statistics Server.Reiyen staffs created the data warehouse based on Microsoft SQL Server 2005. They created all the data warehouse data management tools and query tools based open source JSP and JQUERY technologies. The reporting system was built on top of open source BIRT reporting system which is integrated with SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services server. The forecasting task running on SPSS statistics server is scheduled and controlled by the Collaboration and Deployment Services server; and the generated reports are integrated into JSP and JQUERY GUI pages. In this system, Reiyen staffs demonstrated that they areproficient in integrating open source J2EE technologies with propriety systems such as SQL Server and SPSS Servers to fulfill the customer's needs. The current development environment in Reiyen consists of window stations and Linux servers. All the Java projects are developed using Eclipse IDE in the window stations. The source code revision control is under Subversion (SVN) running on Linux servers. The problem and bug issues are traced in open source Jtrac system. Reiyen engineering staffs currently employ Agile software development process. They often perform fast object-oriented prototypes to verify certain key functional requirements before proceeding to a full scope developments. Although Reiyen is still small, it is a dynamic and energetic software house specialized in Java technologies.
