Health
When we go abroad, one of the most challenging tasks for most of Chinese students is to go to see a doctor or deal with health-related issues. This unit is aiming to help you to be prepared in this area from your pre-departure stage to the moment when you are actually going to see a doctor. And the third lecture in this unit presents the skills for beginning a presentation.

Housing Rental
This unit consists of four lectures or conversations related to renting a house abroad. A general review of housing rental for graduates is introduced in the first part. Then, you will learn some abbreviations in housing advertisements and the different types of houses, such as apartment, condo duplex, loft etc. Furthermore, rental terms including a written release, sublease, the security deposit, eviction notice and so on are explained in detail. In the end, some suggestions are also offered for you to learn how to find a roommate and an apartment inventory as reference for you renting a room. How to logically develop a presentation is delivered in Lecture 5.

Money Management
When we study abroad, we are supposed to properly manage our money. In this unit, questions will be asked and answered with regard to our education costs, life expenses and possible incomes such as scholarships or fellowships. The professor will give us some advises on how to wisely balance our budgets. In addition, Information like means of payment and relevant banking services will be provided. In Lecture 2, the professor will introduce several ways of shopping and recommend some shopping places to us. Lecture 3 demonstrates the language one may employ when giving presentation.

Campus life
When you go to a university abroad, most of your time would be spent in the campus. In fact, campus life in foreign universities is quite similar to that in Chinese universities, it mainly includes life in class which is introduced in Lecture 1 and life outside class in Lecture 2. The audio-visual aids in a presentation is the focus of Lecture 3 in this unit.

Sports
To many Americans, sports are part and parcel of their leisure life and any weekend without sports would be hard to imagine. Among all sports, American football is the most popular sport in the United States, followed by baseball, basketball, hockey, and soccer. In this unit, you are going to learn about two of the most popular sports: American football and basketball. Lecture 3 demonstrates the nonverbal communication skills which will help you to deliver the speech more effectively.

The great distances and a love for the automobile make driving/riding a significant component of daily life for many North Americans. Thus, car-rental is an essential part for travelling which is introduced in Lecture 1. Lecture 2 will guide you through the national park Yosemite in the Unites States.
