《血色偵程三部曲》是Channel4電視台最新力作，改編自偵探小說作家David Peace的懸疑作品The Red Riding Quartet其中的三部1974，1980，1983。本片製作班底十分強大，由三位知名導演加盟，分別執筒，令得這三部曲既有劇情人物、時代背景絲絲相扣，又體現出不同的製片風格，極具觀賞趣味。整部作品充滿黑暗、腐朽的氣息，無論劇情還是人物塑造都極具壓迫感，儘管沒有過多血腥暴力的場面，但對觀者的心理無疑是一次挑戰。
