蘇成勇,男,甘肅民勤人。中山大學教授、博士生導師,長江學者特聘教授,“973”項目首席科學家。 1968年10月出生於內蒙古。1996年畢業於蘭州大學,獲博士學位。曾在中山大學、美國南卡羅萊納大學從事過博士後研究工作,德國斯圖加特大學洪堡學者,香港中文大學訪問學者。現任中山大學化學學院院長。

中山大學教授、博士生導師,現任中山大學化學與化學工程學院副院長,長江學者特聘教授,“973”項目首席科學家。1996年畢業於蘭州大學,獲博士學位。曾在中山大學、美國南卡羅萊納大學從事過博士後研究工作,在德國斯圖加特大學做洪堡學者,香港中文大學做訪問學者。

目前主要從事與環境能源材料相關的超分子結構化學與配位超分子化學領域的研究,主持過國家傑出青年基金、973計畫、國家自然科學基金(重點、面上、青年)、廣東省自然科學基金等多項科研項目。迄今發表SCI收錄論文200多篇,包括化學領域國際高水平研究性雜誌如J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Chem., Chem. Mater., Chem. Commun. 等,論文被他引或評述4300多次,H指數39。應邀擔任國際知名期刊Inorg. Chem. Comm.亞太地區主編,J. Mater. Chem.顧委,《科學通報》、《物理化學學報》、《化學進展》編委,中國晶體學會常務理事。曾獲教育部高等學校科學技術獎自然科學獎一等獎(第一完成人,2007年)、廣東省自然科學獎二等獎(第三完成人,2000年),2000年獲中國化學會青年化學獎,2005年獲國家傑出青年科學基金、廣東省優秀博士後稱號,2008年獲廣東青年五四獎章,2009年被評為南粵優秀教師,2010年獲廣東省丁穎科技獎, 2011年獲寶剛優秀教師獎。

人物事跡

蘇成勇教授忠誠黨的高等教育事業,熱愛國家和民族,對待工作兢兢業業,對待同事謙虛熱情,對待學生言傳身教、以身作則。在1996年剛到中山大學就積極加入中國共產黨,是一位有十多年黨齡的青年教師,在工作中一直以黨員的標準嚴格要求自己,發揮模範帶頭作用,將對黨和國家的忠誠和熱愛體現在實際工作之中,經常是不分節假日,在實驗室工作到晚上關門為止。在國外深造期間,一直堅持指導研究生科研與學位論文工作,仍然以中山大學為完成單位發表了多篇學術論文,並在學院需要的時刻及時回國服務。
憑藉任勞任怨的工作態度和持之以恆的鑽研精神,經過十年多艱苦的努力,終於成長為化學院教學、科研並重的青年骨幹,取得優異的成績。
自97年博士後尚未出站起,蘇成勇博士就一直承擔第一線教學與課程建設任務,是目前化學院青年科研骨幹中少數堅持上近200人的本科生基礎大課的教師之一。他承擔的《結構化學》課程是化學院公認難度最大的化學骨幹課程之一,學生普遍對該課程具有畏難心理。但他善於將教學內容與科研前沿知識貫徹起來,深入淺出,寓教於樂,取得很好的教學效果,深受學生喜愛,在學校通過學生匿名打分組織的全校課程評估中名列前茅。目前已將《結構化學》建設為校級精品課程,獲得學校教學改革項目資助,正在向省級精品課程建設方向努力。積極組織物理化學二級學科的學科建設,已獲廣東省重點學科。他同時參與國家本科生能力提高項目,指導本科生創新化學試驗、本科生畢業論文,積極組織、參與青年人才培養工作,先後為碩、博士研究生講授《現代物理化學專題》、《超分子化學與物理》、《化學前沿進展》等專業必修和選修課程,講授前沿性學科內容,培養研究生的科研興趣和理論素質。在研究生科研指導中,他注重引導學生的創新精神和獨立工作能力,循循善誘;生活中平易近人,做學生的良師益友,強調研究生思想素質與品德培養。他同時注重培養青年教師,將年輕的副教授和講師組織到研究團隊中,並進一步培養他們的獨立科研能力與團隊合作精神。目前已經協助或獨自培養博士生6人,碩士生7人,在讀碩、博士生10餘人,多名碩士研究生獲得碩博聯讀資格。已培養的碩、博士畢業生中有三人已獲得教授職稱,一人獲得副教授職稱,四人在美國深造。
在科研方面,蘇成勇作為化學院年輕的學術帶頭人,近年主持了多項國家、教育部、科技部、廣東省自然科學基金, 在配位超分子化學的分子與晶體工程、固體與納米材料物理化學等領域取得一系列創新性重要成果和優異的學術成績,並於近兩年分別獲得“國家傑出青年基金”、教育部“長江學者獎勵計畫”、教育“部新世紀優秀人才支持計畫”、廣東省“千百十人才工程”(省級)等重要人才計畫以及科技部國家重點基礎研究發展 “973” 計畫項目、國家基金委重點科研基金項目的資助。
在科研、教學工作之餘,蘇成勇教授還積極參與組織與社會工作。1997-2000年期間擔任廣東省博士後研究人員聯誼會秘書長,熱心為廣大博士後服務。四年期間,主持聯誼會日常工作並組織多次重要的會議、活動,如與北京博士後聯誼會、汕頭市政府聯合籌建“京粵博士後汕頭科技開發基地”等工作。目前擔任物化所所長,全心全意為師生服務,積極開展科研項目組織、學科建設、人才引進、研究生培養、國際合作等細緻工作。近兩年著力整合物理化學研究所科研、教學力量,並大力引進人才,培養年輕教師,積極組織科研項目,團結合作,協同攻關,形成了一支年輕有為,生機活潑,富有創新精神,勇於承擔重大項目,完全有能力開展國際先進水平和創新性研究的學術梯隊。在較短的時間內,就使得物化所在科研、學科建設方面不斷走上新的台階,科研經費成倍增長,人才隊伍不斷壯大,多方面取得歷史性突破,極大地提升了物化所在國內高校相同學科間的競爭力和影響力。

研究領域

在長期的科研實踐中,蘇成勇教授逐步組建了一支包括教授、副教授、講師、博士後、碩博士研究生在內的近二十人的、團結向上、富有創新精神的研究隊伍,在學科前沿開展了大量基礎性和探索性工作,研究成果具有國際領先水平和創新性,在國內外同行學術界有很強的影響力。與他合作的美國、德國、新加坡、香港等地著名學者對他均有很高的評價,有三名外國教授應他之邀擔任中山大學客座教授,他們有多篇合作論文發表並有聯合培養博士研究生。經過多年堅持不懈的努力,蘇成勇教授獲得了多項重要創新性成果,具有積極的科學與社會經濟意義,主要包括:
1. 超分子結構化學,主要涉獵配位超分子結構多樣性中的超分子類質同構與同質異構化。
2. 配位超分子化學,主要涉獵籠、管、環狀金屬超分子的分子工程與低、高維金屬配位聚合物的晶體工程。
3. 材料物理與化學,主要涉獵功能分子與無機-有機雜化分子固體材料與納米材料。
4. 建立了一些納米尺度分子工程的新組裝方法並提出設計新思想,闡明了一些結構組裝機理和模板調控機制。包括:1)提出配體分子夾設計思想,結合金屬中心對稱性選擇,建立了高效構造熱力學穩定金屬分子籠的新方法;2)通過溶液熱力學、動力學研究,確立了金屬分子籠的調控機制與組裝機理;3)提出互補組裝法構造具有相同拓撲結構的金屬分子籠,第一次發現三方金屬分子籠中寄宿金屬配合物的現象。利用以上方法,組裝出系列具有旋轉對稱性的新穎多邊形或稜柱型分子籠,可識別並選擇性吸附客體分子。另外,還組裝出系列箱形、書形、椅形金屬超分子,為特定外形金屬分子構築體的設計合成提供了思路。闡述這些設計思想的工作在JACS,Angew. Chem., Inorg. Chem., Dalton Trans.等著名期刊發表了一系列高水論文,並被國際同行大量引用並在綜述、進展、專著中多次介紹或評述,有關方法被在權威綜述中選做典型合成方法或客體分子識別範例。這些規則金屬超分子構築體被期望在分子識別、分離、傳輸,分子器件、分子機器以及選擇催化等方面具有重大科學與社會經濟意義。儘管這一研究領域在國際上發展異常迅速,但在國內較少有人問津。該課題組克服種種困難,進行了艱苦的探索,組裝出系列獨具結構特色的納米分子輪、箱、籠、環等等分子構築體,提出新的組裝策略與分子設計思想,闡明了組裝機理和小分子吸附現象,引起國際同行的巨大興趣,被廣泛引用和評述,部分成果具有開創性的科學意義,也具有作為微型反應器、催化器、分子容器等方面的現實套用價值。
5. 建立了一些微納配位空間晶體工程的結構模型並提出新的結構概念,闡明了一些結構轉化機理和組裝規律。包括: 首次提出“超分子位置異構”概念;第一次發現梯形結構 Borromean 二維拓撲網狀結構模型;通過溶液熱力學證實“開環超分子異構”機理,闡明聯繫封閉型零維結構與多維開放型結構的結構轉化機理;明確報導了配位聚合物中的(3,6)拓撲網結構模型; 得到第一例非手性單股螺旋配位聚合物; 發現三角架配體C3構象手性在金屬-配體作用和氫鍵等超分子識別下的手性轉換與手性傳遞現象;闡明芳環堆積作用控制的配位聚合物維數遞增規律等。以上結果在 Inorg. Chem., Cryst. Growth & Des., CrystEngComm., Dalton Trans.等著名期刊發表了一系列高水論文,並被國際同行大量引用,多項結果被在綜述、進展、專著中做長篇幅介紹。該研究方向對應的無機晶體工程無疑是當今配位化學領域中最具發展前景的方向之一,可以用於有目的的設計有預期結構和有用性能的新材料,在吸附、儲能、催化、導電、磁性、光學材料等新功能材料、仿生學研究中有廣泛而誘人的套用前景。這些結果為克服目前分子晶體工程所面臨的“分子設計”、“定向組裝”挑戰,提供了具有實踐指導意義的基礎信息。
6. 發現一些溫和或環保型合成微尺度功能固體與納米材料的新方法。包括:製備了系列棒狀、花瓣狀、樹枝狀金屬硫化物納米材料,為半導體材料、通訊材料的研究提供了基礎信息;設計合成了一系列對稱與不對稱三腳架密閉型高效稀土發光配合物,進一步利用構象手性因素,得到自發拆分的手性配合物,為光電分子固體材料、免疫螢光探針等研究提供合成信息等;獲得三價稀土高效發光配合物,實現高效率能量傳輸,分別產生紅光Eu(III), 藍光Ce(III)和綠光Tb(III)的發射。其中三價Ce(III)配合物作為藍光發光材料具有發光強度高,波長和強度容易調節的特點,是稀土配合物中極少被研究的對象。他們系統研究了Ce(III)配合物的光致和電致發光機理,並初步考察了其作為LED發光材料的性能;利用Borromean配位聚合物生長了單晶微管,提出配合物單晶管的生長機制。以上結果在 Adv. Mater.,Chem. Mater.,J. Phys. Chem. B, Inorg. Chem., Dalton Trans.等著名期刊發表了一系列高水論文,多篇論文得到審稿人高度評價。微納尺度形貌、大小均一的金屬基固體新材料和納米材料在電、磁、半導體、通訊、航天等諸多方面具有重要科學價值。該課題組在微尺度金屬-金屬間合功能固體和無機納米材料構造方面探索新的綠色合成技術,不但為固體新物質的創造提供途徑,而且具有積極的社會和經濟意義。

1. 1998年以來,主持多項國家自然科學基金、廣東省自然科學基金、國家重點實驗室和開放實驗室以及中山大學行動計畫人才引進基金等科學基金課題。
2. 在包括美國《J. Am. Chem. Soc.》、《Inorg. Chem.》、《Cryst. Growth & Des.》,德國《Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.》,英國《Chem. Commun.》、《Dalton Trans.》等國內外學術期刊發表論文100多篇,論文被他人引用400多篇次。
3. 2000年獲中國化學會“青年化學家”獎,廣東省自然科學獎二等獎(第三完成人)。
迄今,蘇成勇教授已在國內外學術雜誌上正式發表論文150多篇, 絕大部分發表於美國科技信息所權威學術文獻索引SCI收錄的期刊上,包括化學綜合學科國際最高水平的研究性雜誌J. Am. Chem. Soc.、Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.和國際一流水平化學及專業雜誌Adv. Mater., Chem. Mater., Chem. Commun.、Inorg. Chem.、Dalton Trans.等國際著名期刊,其中高影響因子(Impact Factor > 3)的論文50多篇,充分說明蘇成勇教授是一位活躍於國際學科前沿,多產並且科研成果具有國際一流水平的青年學者。同時,他的學術成果已被發表於60多種、包括國際頂級研究型雜誌Science, PNAS, Angew. Chem.,JACS 和權威性評述雜誌Chem. Rev., Chem. Soc.
