隨著改革開放的不斷深入和中國加入WTO,我國的國際交往日益頻繁，社會上對英語口語人才的需求越來越大。要求也越來越高。1999年11月。教育部批准正式在全國推行大學英語口語考試，是順應了這一要求，也是對切實提高大學生英語口語能為起到了推動作用。本書的編寫目的就是通過豐富多樣的課堂訓練。營造積極活躍的練習氣氛。培養學生學習其語的興趣愛好。儘快提高他們的英語口語交際能力。 本書是編者們長期口語數學的積累，緊扣大學英語數學要求，針對大學英語大班數學的特點。在設計活動時儘量做到精練而細膩，靈活而不亂。部分活動已在數學中使用過，效果良好。 在編寫本書的過程中。我們閱讀了大量的口語類書籍，得到了國內外許多同行的指點和幫助。在此，對所有關心、支持和幫助本書編寫、出版的同仁表示由宏的感謝。由於編者水平有限，錯漏之處在所難免。我們真心希望廣大師生給予寶貴的意見和建議。從改進此書，我們將不勝感激。
